InPost

Overview

The InPost integration lets you export unfulfilled Shopify orders as InPost shipments. It detects which orders use InPost delivery (Paczkomat or Kurier), auto-selects parcel sizes based on item count, and generates a CSV file ready for InPost’s import tool.

Exporting Orders

  1. Go to Orders and select orders using the checkboxes
  2. Click the Export InPost button in the toolbar
  3. Review the export table – each row shows the order, delivery type, recipient details, and suggested parcel size
  4. Adjust parcel sizes if needed using the dropdown in each row
  5. Click Download CSV to generate the file

What Gets Exported

The CSV includes all fields required by InPost:

  • Recipient name, email, and phone number
  • Delivery type (Paczkomat or Kurier)
  • Paczkomat pickup point ID (when applicable)
  • Delivery address (from pickup point data or customer address)
  • Parcel size (A, B, or C)

Skipped Orders

Orders are automatically skipped and not included in the export when:

  • The order is already fulfilled
  • No InPost delivery method is detected in the shipping title

A warning banner shows how many orders were skipped and why.

Delivery Type Detection

The delivery type is determined from the order’s shipping method title:

  • Paczkomat – shipping title contains “paczkomat”, “paczkopunkt”, or “punkt”, or the customer selected a pickup point at checkout
  • Kurier – shipping title contains “kurier”
  • Orders that don’t match either pattern are skipped

For Paczkomat deliveries, the pickup point address is used. For Kurier deliveries, the customer’s shipping address is used instead.

Parcel Size Settings

Go to Settings > InPost to configure how parcel sizes are auto-selected based on the number of items in an order.

  • Size A – orders with fewer items than the Size B threshold (default: fewer than 2 items)
  • Size B – orders with items equal to or above the Size B threshold (default: 2+ items)
  • Size C – orders with items equal to or above the Size C threshold (default: 6+ items)

You can always override the auto-selected size per order before downloading the CSV.

Parcels That Don’t Arrive

Panelque follows every InPost parcel it tracks and adds a note to the order when one won’t reach the customer:

  • Returned to you – once when the return starts (the recipient never collected it, or InPost begins sending it back) and once when the parcel is physically back and ready to restock or refund.
  • Lost, damaged or destroyed – the parcel is gone and isn’t coming back, so the order needs a refund or a re-ship.
  • Cancelled – the shipment was cancelled before delivery, by you or by the customer.

A failed delivery attempt on its own doesn’t raise a note – those often succeed on a retry. You hear about it once InPost decides the parcel is going back.

The notes appear on the home page, the order page, and the TV screen’s unresolved notes, so a problem parcel can’t quietly disappear into the shipment history. Resolve a note once you’ve dealt with it.

Tips

  • Select multiple orders at once on the Orders page for batch exports
  • The export link expires after 5 minutes – if it expires, go back to Orders and try again
  • Double-check phone numbers in the export table – they are normalized to a standard format automatically
