DHL joins the shipments list

October 05, 2026 by Michael

When we taught Panelque to recognize carriers, DHL got a working tracking link and nothing more. The parcel sat in the Active shipments list with a number and a Pending badge, and stayed that way until somebody clicked through to dhl.de and read it themselves. If you ship with DHL, you know the row.

Now DHL parcels follow themselves, like everything else in the list.

Every scan, in plain words

A DHL parcel in Panelque shows the same things an InPost or Apaczka parcel does: the current status in the Active shipments table, the full history when you open the shipment, and a tracking link that still goes to dhl.de. DHL describes each step in a full sentence – "handed over by the sender to the parcel center", "processed in the delivery base", "loaded onto the delivery vehicle, delivery is expected to take place today" – and that sentence is what you see, with the place when DHL names one. Delivery is marked as such, and the parcel leaves the active list.

Notify me works the same way as for any other parcel: switch it on for a shipment a customer is asking about and each change reaches you by email or Telegram.

Shipments you sent months ago

Nothing to redo. Every DHL shipment already in your store is picked up as well. The ones delivered long ago get their history filled in and are marked delivered – the Pending badge they have carried for months finally goes away.

Numbers DHL doesn't know

Sometimes a tracking number never shows up at DHL: a label created and then cancelled, a typo in the fulfillment. Those used to sit in the list for good. Panelque now gives DHL a week to recognize the number; after that the shipment is marked Not found at DHL and leaves the active list, so it is still there on the order but no longer counts as a parcel on the road.

Still InPost only

The notes Panelque raises when a parcel goes wrong – returned, lost, cancelled – remain InPost only. A DHL parcel that turns around keeps updating in the list rather than raising a note.

One less hole

Each carrier we follow closes a gap in the number we care about most – when the customer actually got the box, and how long until they order again. Apaczka closed the biggest one; DHL was the oldest. If a carrier you ship with still shows Pending, tell us.
