Email notifications

Overview

Panelque emails you when a new order comes in, so you know about a sale without watching the app. The email names the customer and shows their tags as colored badges, the same way they look inside Panelque.

Open Settings > Email notifications to control it.

Settings

  • Enable new order emails – the master switch. Turn it off and no order emails are sent at all; everything else on the page keeps its value for when you turn it back on.
  • Only customers with tags – on by default. Orders from customers with no tags are skipped, which keeps the emails focused on the customers you've marked as worth knowing about. Turn it off to get an email for every order.
  • Send to – the address the emails go to. Leave it empty to use your Shopify store email. Set it when orders should reach a shared inbox or someone other than the store owner.

Changes are saved from the bar at the top of the page.

Which Orders Send an Email

Only brand-new orders trigger an email – edits to an existing order and the historical orders imported when you first install Panelque never do. Orders placed without a customer (some point-of-sale and draft orders) don't send one either, since the email is built around the customer.

For a message on every order regardless of the customer, use Telegram notifications instead.

What Else Uses This Address

Two other things send here once you switch them on, one at a time rather than for everything at once:

  • A parcel you're following – open a shipment's tracking history and select Notify me to hear about that parcel's status changes. See InPost.
  • A QR code you're watching – tick Notify me about scans on a code to hear each time it is scanned. See QR codes.

Both use Enable new order emails as their master switch, because it is the switch that decides whether Panelque may email you at all. Turning it off silences these too.
