Alerts

Overview

Panelque watches the numbers you would otherwise have to go looking for and raises an alert when one crosses a line. Alerts appear in the Needs attention card at the top of the home page, are listed in full under Alerts, and can be sent to you as a daily digest and as urgent messages over email or Telegram.

Every alert links to the page where you fix it. An alert closes on its own once the cause is gone – the component is restocked, the order ships, the week passes – so the list always shows what is true now.

What is watched

  • Stock running out – Components the reorder forecast says will run out within a week (critical at three days or fewer), and items under their minimum level. Stock on open purchase orders counts as cover, so a component with a delivery on the way is not flagged, and alternative items are counted together.
  • Ship-by at risk – Unfulfilled orders due to ship today, and orders whose ship-by date has already passed. See orders for how the date is set.
  • Sold below target margin – Orders of the last seven days with a line sold under your target margin, after discounts. Visible to staff with the expenses permission.
  • Data gaps – Shipped orders of the last 30 days with no packing, postage or labour cost, active variants with no bill of materials, and costed variants whose margin looks too good to be true (usually a recipe missing a component). These make your reports look better than they are. Visible to staff with the expenses permission.

Home page

The Needs attention card groups open alerts by kind, shows the first few of each with a link, and opens the full list with View all. The card disappears when nothing is open.

The Alerts page

Open lists everything to act on, worst first. Snooze 7 days hides an alert for a week – it comes back unless it resolves first – and Dismiss hides it for good. Snoozed shows what is waiting and lets you bring an alert back early; Resolved keeps the history of what closed and when.

Daily digest and urgent alerts

Switch on email or Telegram notifications and Panelque sends one digest a day at the hour you choose, in your local time: everything open, grouped by kind, and what resolved since yesterday. Nothing is sent on a day with nothing to say.

Critical alerts – a component gone critical, an order past its ship-by date, a big order sold under target – go out the moment they appear, once. Set the order total that counts as big in the settings; leave it empty and no low-margin order is treated as urgent.

Settings

Under Settings → Alerts & daily digest you can turn the digest and urgent messages on or off, pick the digest hour, set the big-order threshold, and switch off any kind you do not want to hear about. A kind that is switched off stops both its alerts and its lines in the digest.
